Are you passionate about trail building and advocacy in the Mission area? Then this volunteer position could be for you!

We are looking for a Mission Volunteer Trail Representative to help oversee trail building and maintenance in Mission. Areas include Bear Mountain, Red Mountain and Heritage.

The duties of a trail representative are:

• Regularly monitoring trails, including inspections and updating Trailforks
  
• Addressing public safety issues in line with Land Manager policies.
  
  • If unable to fix an issue themselves, the Trail Representative will organize volunteers or contact the FVMBA Trail Operations Coordinator.
    
• Helping organize trail work in their region alongside the Trail Operations Coordinator by:
  
  • Supporting builders with tools and supplies (provided by the FVMBA)
    
  • Identifying trail projects that need attention and adding them to the FVMBA trail work task list
    
  • Ensuring that FVMBA trail days take place during the year

The FVMBA will provide trail representatives with tools to use in addition to other perks of being a volunteer!
